From this Thursday until next Saturday, Split will be the site of numerous film premieres, the audience of the 17th Mediterranean Film Festival Split can expect a record 107 films from 41 countries, which will be shown in six different programmes at four locations.

In recent years, the Mediterranean Film Festival Split has become an increasingly well-known meeting place for film professionals, but also more and more the key place in the education and upbringing of new audiences through numerous lectures, masterclasses and workshops held during the 10 days of FMFS.

Through carefully selected film programmes, the Mediterranean Film Festival Split aims to introduce the youngest audience to good quality local and European productions, introduce them to independent cinemas and encourage education through entertainment. As part of the Little Mediterranean programme, animated and feature films - short and long - for all ages, from 3+ years old, are being screened this year as well!

The Mediterranean Film Festival Split opens on 13 June 2024 with the world premiere of the film "Sola" by screenwriter and director Lana Barić. Marija Škaričić, Ivana Roščić, Snježana Sinovčić and Goran Marković star in this truly Mediterranean movie delicacy in which the main character returns to her native island.
