The world premiere of Luka Galešić's short film "My Husband, the Idiot" opens today's FMFS programme at the Bačvice Open-air Cinema at 9:30 p.m. In the film, which is shown as a part of the competition programme "Ješke", the cast consists of Marina Redžepović, Nikša Butijer, Franko Jakovčević, Rea Bušić, Iva Jerković and Nina Violić.
The feature-length Croatian premiere is "Amal", a tense and realistic drama directed by Jawad Rhalib. In the film set at school, the title role is played by the great Lubna Azabal, known to the FMFS audience for the film "Life suits me well", for which she was awarded at the Tallinn festival. It is interesting that it was Azabal who was the president of the jury for the short film programme in Cannes that awarded the "Palm d’ Or" to Nebojša Slijepčević.
The "Warm Film" premieres at the Gripe Fortress, and director Dragan Jovićević will talk about it with the audience. This documentary-feature film is made up of archival materials, interviews and live parts, and the imposing archival material consists of inserts from more than 37 films in which LGBTIQ appears as a theme, from the first years of cinematography in Yugoslavia to contemporary Serbian productions.
Greek director Babis Makridis, known to the FMFS audience for the film Pity (2018), in the educational documentary film "Unclickable", which is shown at the Zlatna Vrata Cinematheque, discusses the impact of virtual fraud on the global Internet economy, but also on individuals who are much more present among the many victims than it seems at a first glance.
